Wythenshawe Town’s goalkeeper, Bruno Miguel da Silva, who was seriously hurt in a Manchester FA Premier Cup match is now out of hospital and continuing his recovery.
Bruno was hurt in the match against Avro FC on September 19 when he sustained a factured skull.
The keeper- a self employed driver – is unable to work while he recovers from the injury and a fund has been set up to support him – now almost half way towards reaching its target. The Just Giving page was set up by a fellow goalkeeper, and friend of Bruno.
Bruno suffered two skull fractures, one on each side and also fractured his eye socket. He suffered memory loss and had bleeding on the brain which contributed to his extended stay in hospital.
